We have seen from the Word of God that the Kingdom exists beyond the natural realm, beyond what we can perceive with our 5 senses. In order to help broaden your understanding of this, I want to explain it from another point of reference, to assist you in grasping the concept of a multidimensional Kingdom.
We live in a 3 dimensional world. That means we measure everything by 3 dimensions- length, width, and height.
It is in these 3 dimensions that we see, experience and understand our world. But in the area of science called quantum physics, a total of 9 dimensions have purportedly been proven. If this is true that there are 9 dimensions, and we only perceive in 3 of them, then we can quickly calculate that most of all reality cannot be perceived with our human abilities.
I have a dog whistle. When I blow that whistle you cannot hear any sound come from it. Does that mean there is no sound coming from the whistle? Or to rephrase the question, do you have to perceive something with your 5 senses for that something to be real? In the case of the dog whistle, I can give my dog commands from a quarter mile away and she will hear it and obey. So we have tangible evidence the whistle is real, whether you as a human perceive it or not. Therefore, human perception is not the basis for determining if something is real. In this case, the sound range of the whistle is outside of human hearing range, but well within dog hearing range.
Right now you are surrounded by radio waves. Can you use your 5 senses and detect them? No, of course not. But to prove they are really there only requires a radio device tuned in to the correct frequency.
So we can easily conclude that there is a large portion of reality that we are unable to perceive with our 5 senses. It is very real; it is just not something we can see, hear, taste, smell or touch. Thus is the case with these extra dimensions beyond the 3 that we experience. And just because science has proven 9 dimensions does not mean that there are only 9. These scientists claim to be in the process of proving the 10th dimension even now. Knowing my God, there could be hundreds of dimensions! What we know and experience may only be a tiny drop in a very large bucket of what we call reality.
In our last lesson, Elisha’s servant had his eyes opened to see past our 3 dimensional world and briefly glimpse extra dimensions. We are not told in scripture whether Elisha could see those chariots of fire, but we can determine by his life that he lived life based on the fullness of reality, not just the minimal part he could experience with his 5 senses. He believed God, and the natural circumstances did not cause him to waiver, even in the face of sure death.
This is the Kingdom life. We all must learn to live in the same way Elisha did, trusting what God says because He knows all of reality when we can only know a small portion. I believe this is what Jesus meant when he said that whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it (Mark 10:15). We must be children trusting the Father because only He can see the big picture.
